Privacy Notice
This notice explains the information Aurbis Online processes when you use the launcher, website, Discord sign-in, or game services. It is written for players, not lawyers.
Who operates Aurbis and how to contact us
Aurbis Online Team operates the service. For a privacy request, open a private support ticket in the official Aurbis Discord and title it Privacy Request. Do not post account identifiers, screenshots of tokens, or other sensitive information in a public channel.
Information we process
- Discord sign-in data: Discord account ID, display name, avatar information and, when Discord supplies it under the permission you approve, email address. Discord performs authentication; Aurbis does not receive your Discord password.
- Launcher data: selected server, installation path and launcher preferences stored on your computer. The launcher keeps its linked Discord profile locally so it can identify the account on later launches. Signing out removes that local session.
- Connection and security data: IP address and service metadata necessary to establish and protect connections, diagnose abuse, and operate the server. Infrastructure and server logs can contain this metadata.
- Game data: character names, positions, inventory, progression, property and world-persistence data, account identifiers, moderation actions and bans. Server logs can include gameplay events and in-game chat messages where the service records them for operation, moderation, or debugging.
- Voice data: proximity voice is relayed in real time to other participating players. Aurbis does not intentionally create an audio recording archive. Technical connection metadata may still be processed to deliver and protect the feature.
- Website data: ordinary web request data required to serve the site. The Aurbis website does not currently run its own advertising or analytics tracker.
Why we use this information
- to authenticate a player, link that player to characters, and provide the launcher and multiplayer service;
- to save and restore character and world state;
- to operate voice, server lists, updates, support, security, moderation, and anti-abuse controls;
- to investigate bugs, outages, reports of misconduct, and suspected cheating; and
- to meet legal obligations or protect players, the service, and our rights.
Where applicable, we process this information to provide the service you request and for our legitimate interests in operating a secure, fair multiplayer community. We do not use it for targeted advertising.
When information is shared
We share information only as needed to run the service: with Discord for OAuth sign-in, OVH for hosting, GitHub for launcher-release delivery, and Nexus Mods when you choose to open the mod collection. Those services have their own policies. Authorized Aurbis administrators may access operational data when needed for support, security, or moderation. We may also disclose data when required by law or to address a credible security threat. We do not sell personal information.
Retention and deletion
Character, inventory, account-link, and moderation data are retained while the account or related game state is active, because deletion can affect character continuity and rule enforcement. Operational logs are retained only for the period reasonably needed for reliability, security, and investigation. We review retention when systems change.
You may ask for access, correction, or deletion of data associated with your account through a private Privacy Request. We will verify the request and may retain limited information where necessary for fraud prevention, security, legal obligations, or active moderation records. A deletion request may remove or permanently break character continuity.
Security and incident response
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to limit access to service data and to keep the service maintained. No online service can promise absolute security. If we confirm an incident that materially affects personal information, we will investigate, contain it, and communicate through the official Aurbis channels when appropriate.
Choices and external links
Discord sign-in is required to use the multiplayer service. You can choose not to use voice chat and can sign out of the launcher. Links to Discord, GitHub, Nexus Mods, and Google Fonts are operated by third parties; their privacy terms apply after you leave or connect to those services.
